Body – Continuous Rounds

Rnd 1) Ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook

Rnd 2) 2 sc in each st around (12sc)

Rnd 3) 1 sc in each st around

Rnd 4-6) Repeat rnd 3 (12sc)

Rnd 7) 2 sc in first st, 1 sc in next 2 sts, *2 sc in first st, 1 sc in next 2 sts* - repeat from * to* around

Rnd 8) 1 sc in each st around (16 sc)

Rnd 9) 1 sc in first 3 sts, 2 sc in next st, *1 sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st* - repeat from * to* around

Rnd 10) 1 sc in each st around (20sc)

Rnds 11-12) Repeat Rnd 10

Rnd 13) 1 sc in each st around, until last 2 sts, decrease in last two sts.

Rnd 14) Slst to next sc (18 sc)

Finish off & weave in ends.

Stuff and set aside


Feet -Yellow

Rnd 1) Ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook

Rnd 2) 2 sc in each st around (12 sc)

Rnd 3) * 1 sc, 2 sc in next st * - repeat from * to* around

Rnd 4) 1 sc in each st (18 sc)

Rnd 5) Ch 2, in BLO 1 sc in same st, 2 sc in next 4 sts


(Flippers)

Rnd 6) Turn, sk 1 st, 5 hdc, innext st, sk 1 s, slst in next 2 sts, sk 1 st, 5 hdc in next st, sk 1 st, slst to top of ch-2


Stuff (rest of body)

Leave 12” tail to use to sew body and feet together.


Sew on bottom (feet) to bottom (body) (18sts) match up the circular part of feet using the FLO to attach the feet where the Flippers are made.

Finish off & weave in ends


Beak – Yellow

Rnd 1) Ch 2, 4 sc in 2nd ch from hook

Rnd 2) 1 sc in next st, 2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next st, 2 sc in next st

Rnd 3) 1 sc in each st around

Leave 12” tail to use to sew on beak to body.

Pinch of stuffing to fill beak

Finish off & weave in ends


Wings – MC – [Make 2] – NOT continuous rounds

Row 1) Ch 6, in 4th ch from hook 5 hdc (shell), sk 1, slst in next ch, turn

Row 2) Ch 1, exsc in next st, hdc in next st, dc in next st, hdc in next st, exsc in next st, slst in next st, turn

Row 3) Exsc in next st, 2 hdc in next st, 3 dc in next st, 2 hdc in next st, exsc in next st, slest in next st

Leave 12” tail to use to sew wings to body (Fold in half so that the shell is at the top of the shoulder. The wing will be sewn on using the shell and the 3 sts on each side to anchor wing to body. This will leave the bottom of the wing open for a round/ fluffy look.) Finish off & weave in ends.


Tummy – White – [Continuous Rounds]

Rnd 1) Ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook

Rnd 2 ) 2 sc in same st, 1 sc in next 2 sts, 3 sc in next st, 1 sc in next 2 sts

Rnd 3) 3 hdc in next st, slst next st, 3 hdc in next st, slst in next st, sc to middle sc of 3, (ch 1, sc in same st), sc around to first hdc.


Leave 12” tail to sew tummy to body.

Finish off & weave in ends

Working from the toe up.


This pattern is worked in continuous rounds - mostly


Toe - Green

Rnd 1) Ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook

Rnd 2) 2 sc in each st around [12 sts]

Rnd 3) *1 sc in next st, 2 sc in next st* - repeat from * to * around [18 sts]

Rnd 4) *1 sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st* - repeat from * to* around [24 sts]

Rnds 5 – 12) 1 sc in each st around (24 sts)


Heel - Red

Row 1) Join Red 4 sts from st of last rnd, sc in next st, exsc in next st, hdc in next st, dc in next st, hdc in next st, exsc in next st, sc in next st, sc in next st, turn

Row 2) Sc in next st, exsc in next st, hdc in next st, hdc in next st, hdc in next st, exsc in next st, sc in next st, sc in next st, sc in next st, finish off weave in ends.


Continue with Green

Rnd 13) 1 sc in each st until you come to middle HDC in that st you will place 2 sc, 1 sc in each of the remain sts around (25 sts)

Rnds 14 - 26 ) 1 sc in each st around (25 sts)

Rnd 27) 1 sc in each st until you reach the heel. FLO in 2 sts directly above the heel section.Continue 1 sc in both loops around.

Rnd 28) 1 sc in each st around, slst to st with stitch marker in it.

Your top will be slightly uneven. Don't worry the edging will cover that up and make it look nice. Finish off, weave in ends


Hanging Loop

With green join to one of the two Back Loops from rnd 27. Ch 16, in 2nd ch from hook sc in each st, slst to the other Back Loop. Finish off and weave in ends.


You have finished the basic Stocking...


Edging – White


Rnd 1) With the stocking wrong side out, slst white to any of the stitches, ch 2, hdc in same st, *1 hdc in next st, 2 hdc in next st* – repeat around from * to *

Rnd 2) Slst to top of ch-2, *ch 5, sk 1 st, sc in next st* repeat around from * to *

Rnd 3) Do not slst in ch-5, you will notice that you have left 1 st in between loops, ch 5 and go under/behind the first ch-5 and sc in the first skipped space, repeat rnd 2, when finished, weave in ends.


Turn the stocking right-side out, roll down the top and You have finished the little stocking.
