Curious Pengo

Pengo the Penguin is a very simple pattern that I just mindlessly created this morning. I hope you like him.

WW yarn - three colors - body 6 yds, feet & beak 1 1/2 yds, tummy 1 1/2 yds
Hook "F"
Googly eyes
Handful of Fiberfill

Body - Continuous rounds

Rnd 1) Ch 2, 6 sc in 2^nd chain from hook

Rnd 2) Ch 2, 2 hdc in each st, join w/ sc to top of ch 2

Rnd 3) Sc in next st, *2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next 2 sts* repeat from * to * around.

Rnds 4 -13) 1 sc in each st around

Rnd 14) 1 sc in next 2 sts, 1 sc dec, * 1 sc in next 2 sts, 1 sc dec* repeat from * to * around.

Stuff

Rnd 15) * 1 sc in next st, 1 sc dec*, repeat from * to * around.

Rnd 16) Sc dec in each st around

Finish off, weave in ends

Beak -

Rnd 1) Ch 2, 5 sc in 2 nd ch from hook

Rnd 2) 2 sc in each st around

Rnds 3-5) 1 sc in each st around, slst in first sc

Stuff - 1 tiny pinch of stuffing in nose

Finish off, weave in end - leave 12" to sew on Beak

Tummy -

Rnd 1) Ch 2, 6 sc in 2 nd ch from hook

Rnd 2) Ch 2, 2 exsc in same st as ch-2, 3 exsc in next 5 sts, slst to top of ch 2

Finish off, weave in end - leave 12" to sew on tummy

Wings - (make 2)

Rnd 1) Ch 4, 2 sc in 2^nd ch from hook, 1 sc in next st, 3 sc in next st, 1 sc on opposite side, slst to ch 1

Rnd 2) 2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next 3 sts

Rnds 3-5) 1 sc in each st around

Rnd 6) 2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next 4 sts

Rnds 7-8) 1 sc in each st around, slst to first sc

Stuff- 1 little pinch of stuffing in each wing

Leave 12" to sew on Wings

Feet -

Rnd 1) Ch 2, 6 sc in 2^nd ch from hook

Rnd 2) 2 sc in all 6 sc

Rnd 3) 2 sc in first sc, *1 sc in next st, 2 sc in next st*, repeat from * to * around.

Rnd 4) slst to first sc, ch 2, 1 hdc in same st, 2 hdc in next 4 sts, turn

Rnd 5) Sk 1 st, 5 hdc in next st, sk 1 st, slst in next 2 sts, sk 1 st, 5 hdc in next st, sk 1 st, slst in last st.

Leave 12" to sew on Feet to bottom of Penguin

Weave in all loose ends
